 Course Overview:

This is a 12 hour course designed for public safety officers, law enforcement and fire service, as well as human resources personnel and licensed private investigators who are or will be conducting public safety background investigations.

 Course Highlights:

State Minimum Hiring Standards, Departmental Rejection Criteria, Interviewing the applicant, Conducting the Background Investigation, Verification of Documentation, Financial Review, ADA of 1990 review, and Report Writing.

 About the Instructor:

Mr. Glacken was assigned to the Reno, NV PD background investigation unit in 1995 and in 1999 was assigned as the senior detective in charge of the BIU. In 2001 Mr. Glacken assisted the Nevada Police Corp with developing their background investigation program.

This course has been taught nationwide, in 28 states, since 2001 to thousands of law enforcement, fire service, human resource and licensed private investigation professionals.

Mr. Glacken retired from the Reno, NV Police Department in 2005 after 29 years of total law enforcement experience, including the correctional field, and has Associate Degrees in both Law Enforcement and Corrections.
